Wow! This is so hard! I met the Blacks in the mid seventies through my friendship with Ann and became a part of their family. I spent countless hours with Ms. Black (as she will always be known to me) listening to records and talking about life in general. One of my fondest memories of Ms. Black is when she took me in the kitchen on Elinor street and taught me how to make her famous lemon iced box pie! She carefully explained the recipe to me and made sure I got it just right. Between the laughs and the talking we waited patiently to eat the creation and we had a great time. Today, I make the same pie with the great fun quick-witted temperament for my family as I had the same day I first learned to make it with Ms. Black. Each holiday season my family asked me " Are you gonna make Ms. Black's pie?" She will always remain with us! To my BFF Ann and her siblings, God will comfort you in ways you can only imagine! Love you girls! BJ Waverly Street 4ever!

I'll never forget how Ms. Black (as I've always known her) would always have sweets when I came to the house. She was always gentle and loving to me & my brothers (Tony & Shannon). Rest well Ms. Black. Glory to God. I rejoice that you are with The Father.
