Amelia Renteria

Amelia Renteria, 97, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born on July 16, 1919, in Michoacan, Mexico, to Francisca Murillo Torres and Florentino Torres.
Amelia loved reading the bible, gardening, cooking, and going to church. She also enjoyed black and white movies and comedy shows in Spanish.
Amelia is survived by her sons, Antonio Renteria, Juvenal Renteria, and Javier Renteria; daughters, Mari Montiel, Tere Ramirez, Josefina Cadena, Carmen Renteria, Catalina Cervantez, and Celia Tafolla; brother, Trinidad Torres; fifty-six grandchildren; one hundred and ten great-grandchildren; and twenty great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Reyes Renteria; sisters, Sofia Torres; and brothers, Alfonso Torres and Baltazar Torres.
A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 4060 Fannett Road, Beaumont. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont.
