Anna “Nynee” Clay
Anna “Nynee” Clay, 87, of Katy, died June 19, 2017. She was born December 3, 1929, in Port Arthur, to Anna McBride Kole and James Abraham Kole. She was a lifetime resident of the Winnie area, before moving to Shreveport and finally Katy.
Survivors include daughters, Theresa “Terry” Leger and her husband, Randy of Port Arthur; Mary Candice “Candy” Clay and her partner, Leigh Keener, of Katy; Joan Baggs and her husband, Leon, of Blanchard, Louisiana; sons, Jerry Clay and his wife, Claudia, of El Campo; and Tim Clay and his wife, Sandy of Evans Mills, New York; fourteen grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert W. “Bob” Clay; son, Bobby Clay; sister, Marie Clubb; brothers, Sandy Kole and Skeet Kole.
A gathering of Mrs. Clay’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2017, at Broussard’s. 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
