Beatrice Willis
Beatrice Dean Willis, a long-time resident of Winnie, Texas, died Sunday, July 28, 2019 at The Forum in Houston, Texas.
Born in 1932 to Monroe and Carrie Dean, she was raised on a farm in Hill County, Texas. She married Henry Ray Willis in July of 1951 and celebrated over fifty years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Willis-Brown (Matthew Brown) and her son, Matt Willis (Jennifer Lowery Willis), three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Bea was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed socializing with friends, bowling, dancing, and volunteering in the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnie.
She spent many years working in the East Chambers Schools and finally retired from the Texas Department of Banking where she was recognized for years of outstanding service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her beloved young sons, Donald and Jackie Willis.
A gathering of Mrs. Willis’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Fairview Cemetery, 213 Fairview Cemetery Drive, Winnie, Texas 77665

Bea was a wonderful friend, we had great times together when we lived in Winnie during the 50's ad 60's. After moving to McKinney she invited me several times to come for a visit.. I loved visiting and shopping with her,. Special thoughts and prayers to Donna and Matt.
