Cherie Jones-Trahan

March 20, 1982 - November 1, 2018

Cherie Kay Jones-Trahan, 36, of Nederland, died Thursday, November 1, 2018. She was born March 20, 1982, in Beaumont, to Deborah Kay Evans and Ricky Wayne Jones.

Cherie will be remembered for her love of music, sports, cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. She also loved to go shopping.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Trahan, of Nederland; mother, Deborah Borel and her husband, Dwayne, of Nederland; father, Ricky Wayne Jones, of Vidor; grandparents, Glenda Jones and Doris Toups; niece, Brianna Griggs, of Beaumont; half-sisters, Ciera Borel Gray, Teran Borel-Moore, and Marrisa Borel; aunt, Vicki Jones; uncle, David Evans; and her loving dog, Mitch Jones-Trahan.

She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Everett Wayne Jones and Charles Edward Evans; sister, Jessica Lynn Jones; uncle, Michael Paul Evans; and aunt, Brenda Darlene Doughtry.

A gathering of Mrs. Jones-Trahan’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Orange Forest Lawn, West Orange.
