Christopher “Chris” Rains, 46, of Marshall, Arkansas, died Monday, April 2, 2018. He was born on August 27, 1971, in Port Arthur, to Judy Blackwell and James Rains.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rains of Marshall, Arkansas; mother and step-father, Judy and Robert Wilson, of Port Neches; son, Ty Rains and daughter, Taylor Rains, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; stepdaughters, Jasmine Cannon and Kristi Cannon of Marshall, Arkansas; sisters, Shelly Wilson and Jamella Smith; uncle, Keith Moore; aunt and uncle, Debbie and Mike Blackwell of Port Neches; nieces, Brianna Thibodeaux and Maura Thibodeaux; nephew, Cody Rains; cousins, Callie Sutterfield, Jody Blackwell, Michael Blackwell, Brian Moore, and Chrystal Ware and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Memorial contributions for Mr. Rains may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.

A graveside service for Mr. Rains will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
