Debra Kay Deshotel

Debra Kay Deshotel, 61, of Winnie, died Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Cedar Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation, Baytown. She was born on December 26, 1958, to Wanda Joyce Hicks and John Thomas Monteau. Debra was a devoted mother and grandmother to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, John Monteau and his wife, Kimberly, of Anahuac and Jason Deshotel of Mauriceville; brothers, Gary Monteau and his wife, Jackie, of Winnie and Glenn Monteau and his wife, Lynn, of Double Bayou; grandchildren, Decota Monteau, Eric Monteau, Jaxon Monteau, Grayson Monteau, Izek Dehotel, and Logan Deshotel; and nieces and nephews, Sheridan Ciampo, Gary Monteau, Jr., Ashley Sherman, Clint Monteau, and Stacey Duhon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lenatha Joyce; life partner, George Garcia.

A gathering of Ms. Deshotel’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
