Destiny LaRee Whiddon

January 13, 1996 - May 26, 2019

Destiny LaRee Whiddon was born on January 13,1996, in Beaumont Texas. She lived with her grandparents, Terry and Linda Whiddon in Lumberton, Texas for most of her growing up years through high school. As a youth she loved being with her church family and was involved in Sunday School, G, A.’s, vacation bible school and the youth group. This played a big part in her decision to trust Christ as her savior.

After earning her high school diploma, she married and started a family. Destiny went on to have four children whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and playing with her children.

Destiny is survived by her soul mate, Devin O’Haver; her children, Kingsley, Abella, Bryce and Silas; grandparents, Terry and Linda Whiddon of Lumberton, Texas and Richard Wych of Newton, Texas; sister, Angelica Francisco; aunts, Ginger Pelloat and her husband Clayton of League City, Texas and Lawanda Russell of Spurger, Texas; and uncle, William Whiddon and his wife, Macy, of Beaumont, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Whiddon and Brandy Russell; her grandmother Jennifer Meaux; and her little cousin, Victoria Deckert.

In lieu of floral arrangements, please make memorial contributions in Ms. Whiddon’s memory to North End Baptist Church youth ministry, 5115 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or to charity of one’s choice.

A gathering of Ms. Whiddon’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Highway 90, Beaumont.
