Elmer McClusky

Elmer Eugene McClusky, 83, of Silsbee, died Sunday, April 28, 2019. He was born on July 15, 1935, in Sour Lake, to Mildred Abshire McClusky and Grover Elmer McClusky.

Survivors include his children, Reverend Kevin E. McClusky of Silsbee; Gay Tatom and her husband, Jerry, of Western Grove, Arkansas; and Denise Strother and her husband, Reverend Harland, of Kountze; grandchildren, Heather Nelson of Fairfield Bay Arkansas; Judd Tatom and his wife, Cindy, of Bellefonte, Arkansas; Josh Strother and his wife, Allison, of Haslet; Matthew McClusky and his wife, Lynnsey, of Silsbee; Joscelyn Adams and her husband, Bryan, of Newton; and Andrew McClusky and his wife, Brittany, of Silsbee; great-grandchildren, Corinne Strother, Leila Grace Strother, and Kenedy McClusky; and siblings, Bill McClusky and his wife, Lillie, of Big Sandy; Robert McClusky and his wife, Charlene, of Palestine; and J.E. McClusky of Raywood. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jo McClusky; and daughter-in-law, Gayle McClusky.

A gathering of Mr. McClusky’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake.
