Elvis Lee Polk, 44, of Groves, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017. He was born on April 21, 1972, in Galveston, to Jewel Darlene Wilson and James Robert Polk.

Elvis was known for his blue eyes, unique personality, and would help anyone in need. He loved, music, eagle figurines, playing pool and especially the Dallas Cowboys. In the last few months, Elvis had a blast doing things he loved and spending time with family. Elvis enjoyed the small things in life.

Survivors include his sisters, Rona Ellis of Nederland and Mary Boudreaux of Groves; brother, James Polk and his wife, Bobbie Crochet, of Groves; and numerous aunt, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jewel Carr; brother, James Robert Lee Polk; and niece, Tristan Darlene Lynn Marie Polk.

A gathering of Mr. Polk’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North12th Street, Nederland. His graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. ​
