Helen Ruth Broussard

Helen Ruth Broussard, 86, of LaBelle, died Friday, August 21, 2020, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born December 8, 1933, in Hull-Daisetta, to Susie Bell Andrews Hatcher and Nick Hatcher.

Helen loved riding horses especially trail riding. She also enjoyed watching PBR and cooking. She especially loved to cook her French toast in the mornings. Most of all, Helen will be remembered for the love and protection she provided to her entire family.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Hanna; sons, Donald Gene Loiacano and his wife, Pam and Achille Anthony Loiacano, Jr. and his wife, Pam, all of LaBelle; grandsons, Steve N. Hanna and his wife, Rachel; Michael Hanna and his wife, Elizabeth; Shawn Loiacano and his wife, Kerri; Anthony Loiacano and his wife, Misty; Bryan Werner and his wife, Anna; and Jake Loiacano and his wife, Heather; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dusti, Hayden, Luke, Seth, John, and Noah Hanna; Tara and Teddy Bowden; Brooke, Cash, Kaleb, Bracyn, Jace, Macy, and Emree Loiacano; Tahlia Grant; and Layne and Brady Werner; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Joe Hatcher; sister-in-law, Yvonne Hatcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ike Loiacano and Bruce Broussard; parents, Susie and Nick Hatcher; brother, Harry Hatcher; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hatcher.

A gathering of Mrs. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2020, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
