James “Jamie” Wooten, Jr.

February 16, 1948 - December 25, 2018

James “Jamie” Wooten, Jr., 70, of Orange, passed away at his residence, Tuesday, December 25, 2018. He was born on February 16, 1948, to Mildred Strong Wooten and James S. Wooten, Sr., in Orange. Jamie was a Little Cypress-Mauriceville graduate. After graduating high school, he worked for Firestone and International Paper in the electrical department. Jamie was a member of the Masonic lodge and loved spending time hunting and fishing. He was known for his welding and crafting of furniture from horseshoes. 

Survivors include his son, Tim Wooten and his wife, Miranda; daughter, Kim Lawrence; mother of his children, Sandra Tucker; granddaughter, Hannah Suitts; grandson, Tyler Wooten; sister, Charlotte Wooten, brother, Edgar Wooten; and his beloved four-legged companion, Gizmo.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with James at JM Huber and at International Paper. He was a good man to be around and I know he will be missed. He left this world to Young be I know he is a much better place then we are. Again I'm sorry and will be praying for the Family.?
