Joseph Daniel LeBlanc
Joseph Daniel LeBlanc, 87, of Nederland, died peacefully in his home Friday, February 12, 2021. He was born on February 26, 1933, in Kerrville, to Ena Landry LeBlanc and Leonard LeBlanc. Joseph was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from the Air National Guard after twenty-two years of service. He also retired from Gulf Oil Refinery after twenty years. He was in Lions Club; Knights of Columbus; Veterans Foreign Wars; and American Legion. Joseph loved leatherwork.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Velma LeBlanc; son, Joe LeBlanc and his wife, Michelle, of Houston; daughter, Roxanne Shiflet and her husband, Robert, of Nederland; grandchildren, Rebekah and Anna LeBlanc, Madilyn Trigg, and Hayley Shiflet; great-granddaughters, Keeleigh Sciba and Amberly Trigg; and brothers, Henry LeBlanc; Chester LeBlanc and his wife, Clara; and John Dale LeBlanc and his wife, Jean.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucy Nunez and Mary Hargrave; and brother, David LeBlanc.
A gathering of Mr. LeBlanc’s family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
