Jonathan Reyes
Jonathan Alexander “Alex” Reyes, 21, of Kountze, died Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born on June 7, 1996, in Beaumont, to Kristi David Reyes and Daniel Reyes.
Alex enjoyed making people laugh. He always put others before himself and he loved being outdoors. He loved fishing, riding on his four-wheeler, and mudding in the front yard, but most of all, he loved his family and his fur baby, Kane. Alex married his best friend and the love of his life on November 15, 2017. He was a wonderful son, husband, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Reyes of Kountze; mother, Kristi Reyes and her husband, Fernando; father, Daniel Reyes and his wife, Sara; siblings, Kurtis Reyes and his wife, Angel; Krista Reyes; Tate Reyes; Ty Ramirez; Tanner Reyes; and Taylin Reyes; grandmothers, Suzsanne Nichols and her husband, James and Tami Snider, all of Kountze; grandfathers, Tony Reyes and George Snider, both of Beaumont; great-grandmothers, Rose Strohmann of Houston and Nell Brightwell of Carthage; niece, Aurora David Reyes; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Kane. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Butch David; grandmother, Stephanie Reyes; and uncles, Joey David and Michael James Reyes.
A gathering of Alex’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
