Kenneth Thomas Abbott

March 1, 1944 - July 12, 2017

Kenneth Thomas Abbott, 73, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1944, in Palm Springs, California, to Neomia May Niskern Abbott and Everett William Abbott II, and was a United States Air Force veteran.

Kenneth spent twenty-five years in the military. He was a Master Sergeant Loadmaster. He served in the Vietnam War and many areas in the United States on C130 Cargo Airplanes. Kenneth continued his love of aircraft in various places all over the world, including Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Troop Carriers, Disabled Vets, Loadmasters, and China Post.

Kenneth is sorely missed and survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Angel, Kenneth, Robert, Lonnie, James, Michael, America, Alice, and their spouses; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and his brother, Everett III.

A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, in Beaumont. The interment of his urn will be held 9:45 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
