Louis O. Murrell

February 23, 1951 - March 5, 2021

Louis O. Murrell, 70, of Winnie, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1951, in Winnie, to Lucy Leger and Joseph Wayne Murrell. Louis was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his sons, Louis W. Murrell, of Sour Lake and Mykal L. Murrell, of Nome; siblings, Ronald E. Murrell, of Winnie; Michael Murrell, of Sour Lake; Susan Murrell, of Florida; and David Murrell and his wife, Dina and Edward Murrell, both of Winnie; and grandchildren, Justine Clegg, Kynliegh Murrell, and Louis Wayne “Buddy” Murrell II, all of Mauriceville; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Murrell’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
