Luther T. Merriman

Luther T. Merriman, 53, of Nederland, died April 3, 2017. He was born on January 13, 1964, in Port Arthur, to Jessie Faye Polk Merriman and David Eugene Merriman.

Luther was a United States Army veteran. He retired from the United States Corps of Engineers as a surveyor.

Survivors include his mother, Jessie Merriman of Nederland; step-mother, Lucille Merriman of Lumberton; brother, Shane Merriman and his wife, Pam, of Nederland; sister, Elda Merriman and her husband, Anthony Nomura II, of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Eugene Merriman.

A gathering of Mr. Merriman’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A committal of his cremated body will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, 3098 U.S. Highway 69 Access Road, Nederland.
