Mary Ann Smith
Mary Ann Smith, 89, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on February 7, 1930, to Anitoinette Fraceski Garma and Anthony J. Garma, in Buras, Louisiana.
Mary Ann was very fond of her cat, Miss Kitty. She enjoyed country western music and traveling abroad many times to Western Europe and Yugoslavia.
Survivors include her sons, Jonnye Vance and his wife, Vicki, of Houston and Donnye Vance of Beaumont; brother, Mickey Garma and his wife, Beryl, of Buras, Louisiana and Tony Garma, both of Buras, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Vanessa Vance Laney and sister, Helen Garma Tartar.
A gathering of Mrs. Smith’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 Bayou Brandt Drive, Suite B, Beaumont, Texas 77706.

Such a lovely lady. We have enjoyed having Mary Ann as our neighbor for the 20 yrs. we have been here. She always had such grace and beauty and kept such a lovely home. Our hearts are saddened and our prayers are with her family. May God keep your hearts and memories always.
