Olivia “LaLa” Solis

Olivia “LaLa” Solis, 84, of Beaumont, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on November 27, 1932, to Lorenza Limon Solis and Maurilio Solis, in Clay, Texas. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Anthony High School and was greatly loved by her family. She worked for Rogers Brothers and retired from Sears.

Survivors include her brothers, Nick Solis and his wife, Shirley and Manuel Solis and his wife, Jacquelyn, all of Beaumont; John M. Solis, Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, of Port Neches; Ignacio “PJ” Solis of Austin and Seattle, Washington; brother-in-law, Luis Lopez, Sr.; nieces and nephews, A.J. Solis and his wife, Berlinda, Christie Alomar; Lydia Pourasef and her husband, Kavon; Debbie Bourgeois and her husband, Tony; Luis Lopez, Jr. and his wife, Sandra; Michelle Brown and her husband, George; Valerie Haynes and her husband, Rhett; John M. Solis, Jr. and his wife, Thuy; Stacilyn Peveto and her husband, Chris; Steven Solis and his wife, Cassie; and Mario Solis and his wife, Amanda.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia Lopez; brother, Crisoforo Solis; and nephew, Mark Anthony.

A gathering of Ms. Solis’ family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m., and a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
