Wilma Lindsey

Wilma Jean Lindsey, 84, of Thicket, died Sunday, December 24, 2017. She was born on August 18, 1933, in Cleveland, to Arietta Muckleroy Hooks and James Edward Hooks.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, James Lindsey; children, James Lindsey, Jr. and Bob Lindsey and his wife, Connie, all of Thicket; grandchildren, Mike Lindsey of Batson, Mark Lindsey of Kountze, and Chris Lindsey and David “Pete” Lindsey both of Thicket; nine great-grandchildren; and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gordon Orbry Hooks.

A gathering of Mrs. Lindsey’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Thicket Church of God, 26942 FM 787, Thicket, under the direction of Broussard’s, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at the church, with her interment to follow at Felps Cemetery, Thicket.
