Phyllis Renaye Hall

December 18, 1955 - November 13, 2023

Phyllis Renaye Hall, 67, of Honey Island, passed to her eternal reward on Monday, November 13, 2023, with her loving family by her side.

This world was forever changed on December 18th, 1955, when R.C. & Edith Eddins were blessed with a beautiful baby girl that they named Phyllis Renaye. She was born in Kountze, Texas and resided there for the entirety of her life. As a child she was loving, compassionate and even then she had the heart of a servant always helping in her home and her neighbor’s homes. She loved with her whole heart and was a little mother hen to her siblings and other young family members. She learned the importance of prayer at a young age when she would pray for 5 daughters and later God would answer that prayer.

In 1965, her brothers brought home a handsome young man that would end up being the love of her life. When she was seventeen years old, she married Carroll Wayne Hall on August 1, 1973. To that union the Lord added the 5 beautiful daughters that she had prayed for when she was just a little girl. They were her entire world and the joy of her life. A few years later, her sister-in-law Dessie invited her to church. The night she was filled with the Holy Spirit, her life was forever changed. Phyllis was known to be a strong woman of faith by all who knew her. She was a mighty prayer warrior that many would call upon when they needed someone to touch the throne of God for them. She devoted her life to serving God and serving in her church. She passed on her love for people, church and servanthood to her daughters. Phyllis never had an ill word to say about anyone and always saw the very best in people. If you knew her, you knew without a doubt that she loved you. She portrayed the very image of a Christlike love. She leaves behind a great Godly legacy in her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Carroll Wayne Hall; her loving daughters, Heather Young and her husband, Jonathan, of Dayton, Texas; Wendy Wells and her husband, Jerome`, of Odessa, Texas; Shandala Hall and her husband, Ricky, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Chasity Desormeaux and her husband, Todd, of Cleveland, Texas; and Evette Hall of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Young; Jachson Young; Liam Young; Declan Young; Kortlyn Wells; Alyson Wells; Madyson Wells; Jacob Hall; Caleb Hall; Alyssa Payne and her husband, Hunter; Jagger Hall; Jett Hall; Priscilla Cleveland and her husband, Jonathan; Brexton Desormeaux;  Halton Desormeaux; great-grandchildren, Lila Rose Cleveland and Magnolia Marie Payne; siblings, Wanda Sue Roth of Kountze, Texas; Allen Wayne Eddins and his wife, Shelley, of Kountze, Texas; Regenia Cheshire of St. Joseph, Missouri; and Jamie Eddins of St. Joseph, Missouri; sister-in-law, Kathy Eddins of Jasper, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roy Charles Eddins.
