Alyssa “Wesos” Puente
Alyssa “Wesos” Puente, 22, of Humble, died Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born on December 30, 2000, to Erica Salazar Puente and Travis Wayne Puente, Sr. Wesos was a native of Beaumont and moved to Spring in 2013. She was full of life and life of the party with a beautiful soul who loved to sing, dance, and was free spirited. Wesos impacted people the moment she met them. Her smile lit up the room, and she never met a stranger. She was also an organ donor. Wesos loved her hairless cat, Lola, unconditionally. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her parents, Erica and Travis Puente; siblings, Samantha Puente, Ashley Suarez, Travis “TJ” Puente, Jr., and Bentley Puente; grandparents, Gloria Horton and her husband, Tommy and Consuelo Rodriguez and her husband, Hector Jimenez; aunts, Lydia Comstock and husband, Todd; Melinda Gail Puente; and Dianna Puente; uncle, Troy Allen Puente; and numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, John “PawPaw” Puente and uncle, Juan “Mango” Salazar.
A gathering of Wesos’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a christian vigil at 6:30 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Wingfoot Club, 11932 TX-123, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
