Beatrice Duce
Beatrice Duce, 78, of Kountze, passed away peacefully on the sixtieth anniversary of her and Paul’s marriage, Wednesday, June 14, 2023. She was born on November 23, 1944, in Beaumont, to Eiliene Carter Sharp and David Turner Sharp.
Bea, as she was known to her friends and family spent most of her life in Kountze. After graduating from Kountze High School, she attended Beauty College. Over her life she cut and curled hair for the ladies of Kountze. Besides her work she enjoyed spending time with her friends, family and numerous nieces and nephews. She and Paul traveled extensively throughout the United States. Her passion was crocheting. All her family and friends have a crocheted treasure to remember her by. Most recently she enjoyed keeping up with family and friends after she mastered Facebook. She also enjoyed puzzles and coloring apps.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Duce; nieces and nephews, Tommie Jean Brace and her husband, Robert, of Gulfport, Mississippi; Cathy Perry and her husband, Chuck, of Springfield, Tennessee; David Anderson and his wife, Sheri, of El Campo; Shannon Sharp and his wife, Lea, of Santa Fe; Bambi Sharp and her husband, Roger Banks, of Friendswood; Chase Sharp and his wife, Tracy, of Dickinson; Donnece Foster and her husband, Dave, of Jasper; Nicole Foster of Jasper; brother-in-law, Jerry Duce and his wife, Mona, of Kountze; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Sharp of Hitchcock and Mary Alice Duce of Jasper. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jerry Sharp and Arrie Jean Anderson; niece, Anita Chitwood; and nephew, Jason Sharp.
A gathering of Mrs. Duce’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe Street, Kountze, with her interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.

Paul, I’m sorry for your loss. I remember you and your wife very well. I’m Mr. Wrens’ grandson, Dwight Birdwell. Ms. Bea cut my hair back in the 70s and early 80s . You have my sympathy and prayers.
My thoughts and prayers to Uncle Paul and family. Watching the memorial video tugged at my heart as it brought back some really wonderful memories of visits with Aunt Bea and Uncle Paul. There are forever engraved in my heart.
Bea was a wonderful person! My Grandma Balla loved her so much! She would do her do and Grandma always looked so nice because of Bea’s talent! She will be missed here, but welcomed in here heavenly home!❤️
We will miss her terribly. She was such a special person and a wonderful aunt to me and my family. Praying for Uncle Paul and his loss. They were true partners in their journey through life.

Aunt Bea was so much fun and always welcoming with a warm hug and a story to tell. She was more than an aunt, she was a good friend you were always happy to see, the life of every occasion. When Aunt Bea laughed the world laughed with her. She was a joy to be with and joy to all who knew her. Thank you, Aunt Bea for so many beautiful moments, we were so lucky to have you in our lives and to be part of yours. There is a new star in the night sky tonight, Aunt Bea is there, shining ever so brightly.
