Bessie Lee Bates, 87, of Lumberton, died Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on July 4, 1936.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Roubieu; grandchildren, Robert Bates, Schree Marshall, Otis Roubieu, Jr., Vickie Roubieu, Jessica Potter, Chelsea Lusk, Brandon Kyle Bates, Shawna Brown, Shannon Stillwell, and Wade Bates, Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; ten siblings; husband, William “Bill” Bates; and children, Billie Jo Reedy, Wendell Bates, William Bates, Jr., and Wade Bates.
Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
