Betty Jo Hayes, 87, of Fannett, died Thursday, May 4, 2017. She was born on May 15, 1929, in Beaumont, to Nan Lewis Scott and Robert J. Scott.

Betty enjoyed her career of thirty-eight years with Texaco. She loved reading books and magazines, clipping coupons, and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, George Hayes of Fannett; son, Jerry Harrington, Sr. and his wife, Elna, of Nederland; grandsons, Jerry Harrington, Jr. and his wife, Crystal, of Port Neches and Daniel Harrington of Nederland; great-grandchildren, Cody, Cory, Collin, Jacob, Kirsten, Kolby, Caileb, and Dylan; sisters, Mary Ann Price of Arkansas and Gloria Roberts; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Patricia Donalson of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ronald Glenn Harrington, Sr.; son, Ronald Glenn Harrington, Jr.; sister, Elsie Langley; brother, Robert J. Scott; and grandsons, Timothy and Dustin Harrington.

A gathering of Mrs. Hayes’ family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment following at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
