Bonnie Jean Donaho

Bonnie Jean Donaho, 79, of Winnie died Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1944, in Beaumont, to Thelma Irene and John Fred Gaulding.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, John Donaho; sister, Patti Fitzgerald of Winnie; brother, John Gaulding of Winnie; daughter, Stacey Smith of Orange; son, Sean Donaho and his wife, Robyn, of China Spring; granddaughter, Sydney Smith of Orange; grandsons, Cameron Smith, of San Marcos, Blake and Ross Donaho, of China Spring; sister-in-law, Vickey Gaulding of Winnie; brother-in-law, Steve Fitzgerald; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Donaho’s family and friends will begin at 2:00p.m., with her memorial service to begin at 3:00p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her committal will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Methodist Church, Attn: Shut In Meals Program, P.O. Box 1509, Winnie, Texas, 77665 or to the Hamshire Fannett Education Foundation, Attn: Bonnie Donaho Scholarship, P.O. Box 44, Hamshire, Texas 77622.

    Sorry to hear of Mrs. Donaho’s passing – she was always a joy to work with her at the high school. She was a “go and get it done” person and you could depend on her to have projects completed. Bonnie was also friendly and had a sense of humor. She was a great help to the HF school and others around her. Heaven has gained another sweet soul.
