Deborah “Debbie” Sue Romano

Deborah “Debbie” Sue Romano, 64, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cinderella and Berchman Savoy; brother, Hershyl Savoy; and sisters, Becky Herron, Texie Toombs-Largent; and Jeannine Silkwood.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Peter Paul Romano, of Beaumont; daughters, Andrea Chevalier and her husband, Gary, of Richmond; and Heather Chapman and her husband, Robert, of Nederland; grandchildren, Audrey and Allison Chevalier, of Richmond; and Jason, Katie, and Andrew Chapman, of Nederland.

She was a graduate of Nederland High School in 1971. Deborah was a long-time employee of Luby’s Cafeteria, having worked there for over twenty years. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother.

A gathering of Mrs. Romano’s family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
