In 2021, she and J.J. were selected to the South Texas Youth Soccer Association Hall of Fame and both were honored by the city of Beaumont City Council for starting and developing youth soccer in Beaumont.  Deborah opened up her house to many soccer players throughout the years, housing and feeding them so they could share her love for soccer as she helped them further their soccer playing careers.

Deborah was always so proud of her grandson, Gaius. We have many fond memories with his Grammy and Peepaw – leaf peeping on the Blue Ridge at peek season, crab catching & eating, birthday parties and lots of time in the water from lakes to waterfalls, the Gulf, and the pool in the backyard. We are blessed and thankful to have the time with we did with them and will forever cherish the memories we shared. Rest in Peace Grammy.
