Diane Michell Freeman

Diane Michell Freeman, 50, of Fred, died Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1972, in Silsbee, to Judith Lynette Cunningham Walles and Martin Wayne Walles, Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Jessie Freeman, Jr.; children, Amanda Walles of Houston; Brittany Sims and her husband, Austin, of Spurger; Carley Buckley of Silsbee; Hannah Simmons of Buna; Hunter Simmons and Emilie Simmons, both of Spurger; Jessie Freeman III of Fred; Brittnie Freeman of Buna; Jessica Freeman of Kountze; and Dustin Freeman of Fred; twenty-seven grandchildren; siblings, Miranda Biggs and her husband, Galen Wimer, of Silsbee; Earl Harris and his wife, Wendi, of Woodville; Joe Harris and his wife, Lisa, of Spurger; Adriane Gilcriest of Orange; and Martin Walles II and his wife, Candace, of Orangefield; and mother, Judith Harris of Silsbee.

She is preceded in death by her father, Martin Walles, Sr.; siblings, Bill Harris, Sarah Dorn and Brenda Ewing; husband, Robert Simmons; and grandson, Kervin Windham.

A gathering of Mrs. Freeman’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023, at First Pentecostal Church, 804 County Road 4700, Fred. Her interment will follow at Morse Cemetery, Buna, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
