Dorothy Marie Lewis

Dorothy “Dot” Lewis, 81, of Buna, died Sunday, September 3, 2023.  She was born on February 28, 1942, in Buna, to Gladys Wilkinson Harris and Friday Harris.

Dot enjoyed watching “As the World Turns” with her sisters and mother every day at 1:00 p.m., until the show ended.  She loved Christmas and enjoyed being with her family.  She will forever remain a loving mother and Maw Maw.

Survivors include her daughters, Sonja McMullen and her husband, Doug, of Waller and Kim Mottu and Kechia Mullins, both of Buna; son, Tracy Tillman of Roganville; grandchildren, Russell Wade Bearden, Brittany Jade Mullins, Courtney Quinn Mullins, Summer Breanne Mottu, and Chasity Tillman; great-grandchildren, Kora and Maci; sisters, Jackie Peters and Shirley Luman, both of Evadale; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Harris; and sisters, Ruby McMillian, Maxine Williams, and Jo Nell Harris.

Dot’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
