Elizabeth Contreras
Elizabeth Ann “Putt” Contreras, 71, of Nederland, died Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born November 11, 1947, in Beaumont, to Anne Abke and John Thomas Hancock.

Ms. Liz was one of the kindest and coolest ladies I've ever known. Her heart was huge! We both enjoyed chatting about whatever new drama was in each other's lives and sharing a giggle and possible solutions. After moving from Nederland, I haven't seen her in quite awhile but now I understand. I am very saddened to just hear of her passing. Many prayers and love to her family. RIP Ms. Liz. Love, Amanda

I met Liz through Lucky Liquor years ago. She was always so sweet and such fun to be around. I looked forward to going in there just to visit with her. I know she’ll be missed by all her family and friends. I feel very lucky that our paths crossed so I had the opportunity to know such a terrific, kind, and funny lady. My deepest sympathy to her family.

“ Liz” , was my friend. She tolerated my crazy iron crews as they came on paydays to cash checks. But she always took note of the person instead of the business. She’d miss all us , or if a worker wasn’t there regularly , she’d always ask @ what happened to Mark or Johnetc . I had her phone number and would call just to say hello since she wasn’t at the store . Will Never forget her , She was the bomb . To all us , I also feel the loss of her
