Felix Ruiz

July 29, 1954 - June 21, 2023

Felix Ruiz, 68, of Silsbee, died June 21, 2023.  He was born on July 29, 1954, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Natividad Martinez Ruiz and Onorio Ruiz.

Felix enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside.  He was a faithful and dedicated employee to Wooden Pallet Company in Silsbee for over thirty-one years.  He will forever remain a loving husband, father, and Abeulo.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Lucina Ruiz; daughters, Adelaida Ruiz and her husband, Edwardo Zamudio, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Cecilia Ruiz and her husband, Genaro Turrubiartes, of Crosby; Vicky Ruiz and her husband, Hector Peña, of Katy; and Maria Ruiz and her husband, Jose Moncada, and Zayra Ruiz, all of Silsbee; sons, Rigoberto Ruiz and his wife, Anna Gallegos and Juan Ruiz and his wife, Maria Gallegos, all of Spring; twenty grandchildren; sisters, Lazara Ruiz of Atlanta, Georgia; Lucia Ruiz and her husband, Espidio, of Mexico; and Lisa Ruiz of San Jose, California; brothers, Pablo Ruiz and his wife, Lucia, of Mexico; Apolonio Ruiz and his wife, Vicenta, of San Jose, California; Hilario Ruiz and his wife, Guillermina, of Dallas; and Amando Ruiz and his wife, Simona, of Modesto, California; and other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Santiago Ruiz.

A gathering of Felix’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.,  with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 905 North 9th Street, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Cemetery, Silsbee.

We know that at this time there are no words that any one could say to alleviate the pain and sadness y’all are going through at this time. Our deep condolences to y’all. My Tio is in our players and we pray that God gives you all the strength to get through this roughs times. He is now with our Lord and savior and will for ever be remembered by all off us.     Estimada familia.
    Es complicado escoger las palabras para un momento como este. Les recuerdo que tienen mucha familia y gente a su alrededor que los tendrá en oración para que les de el consuelo y la tranquilidad del mundo para sobrepasar la pérdida de un ser querido como la de un padre.
    La memoria de mi Tio Felix seguirá viva en nuestros corazones cada vez que alguien lo recuerde.
    Saben nosotros hemos aprendido que no se van del todo. Siguen cerca, bien cerca. Siempre están en algún lugar pendientes de nosotros.
    No los podemos tocar, así como no se puede tocar el amor… pero si podemos sentirlos. No. No están en la tierra. Pero sí en la sonrisa de su recuerdo, en el silencio de cada suspiro, créelo nuestro seres queridos siguen con nosotros.
    No los busques tan lejos.
    Yo estoy segura que mi Tio les dijera algo mas o menos asi:
    “ yo estoy bien, y seguiré siempre con ustedes.
    Yo les sostengo cada vez que sientan caer.
    Yo les acaricio cada vez que comienza a doler.
    Yo sé que sienten mi inesperada partida y lamento causarles este gran dolor. Pero yo seguiré vivo en sus corazones porque no se puede separar lo que se ata en el corazón. No se puede matar un sentimiento como el amor que yo siento por ustedes. Solo muere quien es olvidado. Yo les cuidare, protegeré y acompañaré siempre. No los he dejado… tan sólo me adelanté un poco en el camino y volveremos a estar juntos.
    Cuándo nos reencontraremos, sólo Dios lo sabe. Mientras tanto estaré aquí, a su lado…”
