Frances “Fran” Walters

Frances “Fran” Juanita Walters, 79, a longtime resident of Silsbee, died Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was born on June 29, 1944, in Liberty, to Virginia Wiggins DuBose and Jessie Arnold DuBose.

Survivors include her children, Isom (Bo) Dryden and his wife, Danna, of Vidor; Billy Dryden of 3 Forks, Montana; Teresa Campise of Troutman, North Carolina; and Brad Walters of Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Barnhill of Kansas; and half-siblings, Peggy Greenwood and Rocky DuBose, both of Hull; and Frank DuBose of Huntington.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Walters; daughter, Frances Ann Dryden; brother, Jessie “Buster” Wayne DuBose; sisters, Lacie Havens and Dawanna Nickbro; and half-brother, Jerry DuBose.

A gathering of Mrs. Walters’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road. Her interment will follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee.
