George Burkey Richmond, Sr., 93, of Beaumont, died Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care, Silsbee. He was born March 18, 1930, in Iowa Park, to Eva Babb Campbell Richmond and Baron Augustus Richmond. George was a United States Air Force veteran and worked as an electrician for many years.

He is survived by his son, George B. Richmond, Jr. and his wife, Donna P. Richmond; daughters, Reesa Richmond Bryant and her husband, Greg Bryant; and Deborah Richmond Adams; grandchildren, Cody Richmond, Mark Bryant, Jerry Richards, Garret Bryant, Kristen Sparks, Jacoby Wilcox, Timothy Wilcox, Madeline Breaux, Collin Allen, Hunter Richmond, and Seth Yawn.

George is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eddie Merle Richmond; and his grandson, Lee Allen.

Mr. Richmond’s graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Haven of Rest, 13851 US-90, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

    I lost my Dad this week to a disease called Alzheimer’s He was 93 years old. The disease took little pieces of him each day. finally he had nothing else for the disease to take and we lost him 11/25/2023.He will be forever missed by his family and anyone who knew him, He had 10 brothers and sisters in his family. Dad you can now rejoin Mom and now do all the things you never found time to do. Love you Dad! George Jr and Donna
