Hayden Brock Werner
Hayden Brock Werner, 14, of Nederland, died Friday, January 24, 2020. He was born March 23, 2005, in Nederland, to Miranda Comeaux and Shon Werner.
Hayden was known for his great sense of humor and not ever meeting a stranger. He was fearless and wise beyond his years. Playing video games, listening to music, and collecting Pokémon cards were his favorite hobbies. Hayden’s husky, Zarya, was his best friend. His passion was tomatoes, he absolutely loved eating fresh tomatoes out of the garden. Him and his brothers were very close, they stuck together through thick and thin. He was always loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Miranda Comeaux and her husband, Jonathan Wingard, of Nederland; father, Shon Werner and his wife, Melanie, of Port Neches; brothers, Bailey River Werner, of Groves and Caleb Ethan Werner, of Nederland; and grandparents, Robert and Teresa Scarberry, of Port Arthur and Kenneth Werner, of Groves.
Hayden is preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Alford.
A gathering of Hayden’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 199 Water Street, 11th Floor, New York, New York 10038.

My condolences on the loss of Hayden. I taught Hayden my final year of working at C.O. Wilson prior to my retirement He was a student in my Reading class fall semester of 2018. He completed the class at the end of the semester and asked me if he could retake the class! After talking about it, we agreed on him becoming my aide and participating in the lessons if he desired. He had my heart from day one! He was such a good friend to his classmates, he was loved by all, and he was such a tremendous help to me as well. When he got his puppy, we talked about the nature of huskies as I used to have one as well. He was so excited about that puppy! I just want you to know that he touched my heart. He was a very special kid! I wish your family peace moving forward through these times ahead. Prayers have been going up and will continue.
