Herbert Phillips

Herbert Lester Phillips, 89, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born on April 20, 1928, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Rose Segal and Max Phillips. Herbert was a retired insurance agent and received numerous sales awards in his career.

He is survived by his wife, Fayvetta Phillips, of Beaumont; daughter, Marcia Lou Phillips and Don Doty, of Sugar Land; son, Matthew L. Phillips, of Ellisville, Mississippi; grandchildren, Michael Normand and his wife, Karen and Paul Normand and his wife, Lisa; and seven great-grandchildren.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Max Phillips; and two sisters.

A memorial service for Mr. Phillips will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
