Jack W. Tucker

January 15, 1939 - December 19, 2023

Jack W. Tucker, 84, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, peacefully and  surrounded by his family. He was born on January 15, 1939, to Oma Lee Battles Tucker and Wallace James Tucker, in Miami, Florida, and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Jack met his wife of 63 years Marie and swept her off her feet to California to enjoy the sunshine and Newport beach while they raised their daughter Brenda. After his years in the Marine Corps he followed some family to Texas and began a new stage in life in the insurance industry, which he retired from.

After his retirement he enjoyed a full life of traveling, hunting, fishing and golfing. A passion of Jack’s was to visit famous golf courses with his wife and play a few rounds with her while learning of the courses rich history. You cannot speak about Jack without mentioning Alabama college football; it was more than a hobby and he never missed a game.

Jack was a jokester never met a stranger. He was always happy to be surrounded by friends and family while telling stories and tall tales from his adventures. He was never at a loss for words no matter the situation, he brightened whatever room he was in with his jokes and smile, he will be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marie Tucker; daughter, Brenda Denson and her husband, Terry, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Richard Denson, Jr. and his wife, Lan, of Austin and Ashleigh Denson of Lumberton; great-grandchildren, Ryder Denson, Margot Denson, and Teddy Denson; sister, Yvonne Brown of Royce City; nieces and nephews, Bill Brown and his wife, Diane, Debbie Cotten, Diahn Gibson, Dawn Davidson, Rex Tucker Jr, and great-niece, Tanya Lambert.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rex James Tucker; brother-in-law, Charlie Brown; and nephew, Mike Cotten.

A celebration of Mr. Tucker’s life will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
