James Edward Boyett
James Edward Boyett, 64, of Silsbee, died Friday, March 29, 2024. He was born on November 11, 1959, in Kountze, to Edward Boyett and Bobbie Grimes Boyett.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Boyett; children, Jamie Moss of Silsbee; Jeremy Boyett and his wife, Amanda, of Spring Lake, North Carolina; Celess Dickert and her husband, Brian, of Silsbee; and Corey Boyett of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Dallas and Landry Moss, Hunter, Mickey, and Madison Boyett, Emma Lawson, Jaidyn Boyett, Nathan, Braydon, Colten, Alexis, and Sophie Dickert, and Rylen Boyett; sisters, Diane Gore and Nola Baker and her husband, Pete, all of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
James owned and operated James’ Appliance Service for many years. He later retired from Air Liquide. For the last ten years, he has been a member, leader, and Elder for BFC (Biker’s for Christ).
A gathering of James’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 350 US 96 Business, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the church with his interment to follow at Magnolia Springs, Kirbyville.

James Edward.. still so surreal that you were called home on one of the Holiest of days, Good Friday! You looked healthier in these past few years than you had in years! You were truly walking the walk as the Hands and Feet of Jesus! You laughed the last time I saw you, when you gave me one of your great big bear hugs, and remarked that I was the only one that called you ‘James Edward’! You are completely healed and in the Presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Father God! Rev up those engines and ride, my friend! Michelle and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time!
James had a desire to repair broken equipment. God gave him wisdom to be an excellent mechanic and technician. James took every opportunity to tell people about their need for a Savior because he loved people and he loved Jesus Christ. God is good.

My brother James “Noah” Boyett I still can’t believe the Lord has taken you home but I know why, you were the real deal, solid man of God, great example of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, and a great leader and mentor.
I thank Jesus for crossing our paths and the many conversations we had in the last 6yrs.
You will be missed but we will meet again my brother.

You stayed the course, you ran the race, and now you have received your reward. I will miss you my BFC brother, but I know that through God’s unrelenting grace I will smile with you again one day. Sending my prayers and condolences to James’ family. James and I marched together in the mighty Silsbee High Tiger Band!!! He was such a serious drum major that we all respected him. I’m so glad I got to visit with James in September at SHS Homecoming after the parade…

Psalms 34: 18 “The Lord is near the brokenhearted, He saves those crushed in spirit”. I pray for your whole family to have that peace that passes all understanding. I enjoyed Bible study with James and you. Ya’ll endeared yourselves quickly. He will be sorely missed in our church family.

I knew James for many years from working with him at Air Liquide. Over the last few years when I would see him around Beaumont, he always had a hug for me and asked about work. He will be missed and I will miss his hugs. Prayers to the family
Noah was such an awesome man & wonderful man of God. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet him. I enjoyed the bike rides and listening to the Biker’s for Christ all going at once. To Michelle, you are in my prayers.

Jim will be greatly missed by many. I only got to know Jim for the short time I was at FBC Silsbee, before going to Amarillo to pastor a church. But during that short time I knew Jim lived the Lord, and wanted to tell the lost about Jesus. And I know without doubt, Jim is now seeing by sight what we can only see afar off by faith.
