Jim came into my life as a teenager when he married my sister Jean. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding and it was such a lovely affair. I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread and though he teased me terribly when I couldn’t understand that Glaswegian twang, I loved him dearly. I am going to miss him very much as he has always been a presence in my life though we have always lived very far apart. To my sister, Jean, thank you for meeting Jim on the voyage to NZ and bringing him into our family. RIP, James Francis Gaffney

We’ve been so saddened by the passing of
Jim Gaffney. He stepped into our life when our daughter and their son (Alisha and Glen) were married. We soon found out he was a very interesting man with his storytelling and his wit. It was a joy to sit and listen to him. Buddy and I always gladly shared our Thanksgiving with both Jim and Jean along with our family. He would always say we were considered family. We loved you and will miss you Jim Gaffney… till we meet again!

Jean we equally love you. You’re a sweet and lovely lady. We know Jim was the love of your life. We pray God will comfort you in a way only He can. I know Glen and Alisha will always be there for you but please call on us if there’s anything we can ever do for you.
