James “Jim” Snell, Jr.
James “Jim” Snell, Jr., 98, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born August 7, 1925, in Neame, Louisiana, to Lydia Whitman Snell and James Iley Snell, Sr. He was a United States Navy veteran who served in World War II and worked as a route salesman for Lance snack foods for many years.
James is survived by his daughters, Shirley Brown and her husband, Billy, of Beaumont; Pat Albright and her husband, Carl, of Paradise; Debbie Easterwood and her husband, Don, of Sour Lake; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Annie Denison, of Mira, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and James Snell; wife, Luella; and granddaughter, Megan Easterwood.
A gathering of Mr. Snell’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

To Uncle Jim and Aunt Lou’s precious family. I am so sorry for you loss again. I know that they are joined back together but will continue to be missed down here. Your folks were always so kind and inviting in their home. They were fun and a precious couple to all that knew them. We will all miss them especially you girls and Annie belle and her family.
