Jimmie LaComb

September 23, 1928 - May 13, 2021

James Russell LaComb (Jimmie), 92, of Beaumont, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021. He was born at home, on September 23, 1928, in Orange, Texas to Amy Dartez and Leslie LaComb.  

Jimmie lived in Beaumont, Texas for many years. He was a Certified Public Accountant studying home courses with Becker C.P.A. and received his certification 1975. In 1976, Jimmie and Allen LeBlanc formed LaComb & LeBlanc, C.P.A.’s. Jimmie trained both his daughters and they worked together with him for twenty years, and he finally retired at the age of 70. Jimmie liked to spend time with his family, and he loved to gamble. In his younger days he was a member of the Lions Club and bowled with their league for many years. He enjoyed golfing, tennis, dominos, and playing cards.  

Survivors include his two daughters, Jamie Perritt and Sharon Dwyer; step-children, Shelley Weatherford and Charles Clayton; granddaughters, Sabra Kosina and her husband, John; April Knapp and her husband, Allen; Sonja Hampshire; and Ashley Dolan and her husband, Jared; grandsons, Shane Condon and Justin Condon and his wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Skylar, and Emma Kosina; Jonathan, Audrey, and Owen Condon; Jay, Anthony, and Liam Condon; Christian Ponce; Cameron Flowers; Luke and Matthew Dolan; Chase Smith; Brielle, Alex, and Landen Knapp; brother, Glenn LaComb of Hemphill; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Eva Lou Hawkins LaComb.  

Memorial contributions for Jimmie may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016. 

A gathering of Mr. LaComb’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Jimmie was a extraordinary man who I got to know through his lifelong friendship with my dad Jerry. I am very sad to hear of his passing, but know that Jimmie and all his many friends and family are now in heaven together dancing, gambling and having the best time. Prayers to his family and Nina.
