Jimmie Ray Padgett

Jimmie Ray Padgett, 80, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at his home in LaBelle. He was born October 16, 1940, in Perry, Florida, to Draden and Genevieve Blue Padgett. He was a United States Army veteran.

Jimmie was owner of Padgett’s Gauging and Oilfield Service for over twenty-five years. In 2003, he retired from the oilfield and started traveling. He built End of The Road RV Park in 2008 and took pride in making it a peaceful sanctuary on Hildebrandt Bayou. Jimmie was a man loved by all. To know him was to love him.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy D. Padgett; daughter, Jessica Louise Padgett; grandson, Chandler Ray Padgett and fiancé, Calissa, all of LaBelle; brothers, Draden Padgett, Jr. and wife, Carol; Joey Padgett; and Jack Padgett and wife, Deidra; sisters, Cathy Finch; Jewel LeBlanc; and Janice Trahan; and many nieces, nephews, and hundreds of friends.

A gathering of Mr. Padgett’s family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
