I was deeply saddened to hear of Johnny’s passing. It was such a privilege to know him and his brother Jerry during my younger years. I have fond memories of Johnny. He pitched line Nolan Ryan and drove a car like Ricky Bobby. He was a strong faithful and run loving guy man fun-loving guy who also possessed a gentle spirit. When I watched his video tribute, I was not surprised that the story of his life reflected a total commitment to family, God and neighbor. What an incredible man!

    Pam Hale says:

Dear Sue and Family, I’ll be thinking of and praying for all of you tomorrow as you say “See you later!” to Johnny! May your hearts be comforted and strengthened in knowing Johnny had a retirement plan that lasts for eternity. I think about his homecoming and, as the song goes, can only imagine who and what he must be seeing. It is obvious in the video Johnny greatly loved his family. His family greatly loved him. It goes without saying; He will be greatly missed! Until then cuz…

Johnny and Jerry lived across the street from me in Amelia- They both were very nice guys-but sometimes l
they liked to torture me-all in fun !
I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers .

    Anthony Fasulo says:

I went to school with Johnny starting in the 6th grade at Amelia Elementary in Beaumont, going all the way through Forest Park. Johnny was a whale of a baseball player and he continued his love for baseball by switching over to slow pitch softball after high school. Johnny played for some of the best slow pitch softball teams from this area who also were some of the best in the state of Texas. He swatted countless home runs while playing for numerous years. Johnny was a likeable guy going through school, and even though he was an accomplished athlete, he maintained the posture of being “just one of the guys”. I haven’t seen Johnny in probably 25 years, but I’m sure he was still the same good man.

    Clare Cammack says:

Sending prayers for comfort & peace during this trying time. Johnny was truly a loving servant of our Lord. May you all find comfort in the many lives he enriched. I know his Mom, Dad & brother welcomed him into heaven with open arms. All my love to Sue & family.
