Joseph Lynn Rutledge

November 12, 1946 - September 6, 2022

Joseph Lynn Rutledge, 75, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born on November 12, 1946, to Mabel Snider Rutledge and Hardy S. Rutledge, in Beaumont. Joseph worked as a crop duster mechanic with M&M Air Service. He was a very talented model airplane builder and avid fisherman.

Survivors include his brother, Leroy Rutledge and sisters, Alene Gallier and her husband, Ray “Buddy”, Dorothy Evans, and Snow Reed, all of Beaumont; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces, and step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Louviere, Hellen Mitchell, Patricia Ann Rutledge, and Doris Hickman; and brothers, Hardy Rutledge, Jr., George Rutledge, Earl Douglas Rutledge, and Jackie Rutledge.

A gathering of Mr. Rutledge’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
