Laurel Ann Ward
Laurel Ann Ward, 76, of Silsbee, died Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on October 13, 1947, to Eva Spencer Hester and Horace Hester, in Athens.
Survivors include her children, Robert “Robby” Ward, Jr., and his wife, Tess, of Silsbee and Simberly Modica and her husband, Thomas, of Katy; grandchildren, Sean Ward, Shane Ward, Justin Ward, T. J. Modica, and Reid Modica; and sister, Peggy Hinds of Athens.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Ward; her parents; and brothers, Joe Hester and Horace Hester.
A gathering of Mrs. Ward’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, 3601 Cooks Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

I met Mrs WARD a couple of times when I was young .Her and Robert were always nice and friendly to my mother that’s what I can remember so sorry for your loss.
