Madeline Hill Tuttle

April 12, 1926 - October 26, 2017

Madeline Hill Tuttle, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Riceland Medical Center, Winnie. She was born on April 12, 1926, to Alma Brackett Hill and Van Hill, in Etowah County, Alabama. Madeline was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW, and Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. She and her husband, Earl Tuttle, were married for fifty-two years. Due to his time in the Navy, they traveled throughout the world. Madeline enjoyed quilting, canning, cooking, and was an avid gardener.

Survivors include her daughters, Melisa Brown and her husband, Lee, of Beaumont and Melita Flannery and her husband, Bill, of Silver Spring, Maryland; siblings, Josh Leonard Hill and his wife, Delores, of China, Texas; Irene Garretson of Rainbow City, Alabama; James Hill and his wife, Janeth, of Walnut Grove, Alabama; Jimmy Hill and his wife, Susan, of Southside, Alabama; and Jean Childress and her husband, Darrell, of Albertville, Alabama; grandchildren, Morgan Brown, Will Flannery, Madeline Flannery, Ethan Brown, and Weston Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Charles Tuttle; sister, Betty Duncan; and brothers, Ray Hill, Delmus Hill, and Frank Hill.

Mrs. Tuttle’s funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Morgan Funeral Chapel, 625 Gilberts Ferry Road Southeast, Attalla, Alabama, with interment to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, Gadsden, Alabama. Local arrangements were handled through Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
