Mary “Marlene” Stewart, 83, of Orange, died Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born on September 12, 1933, in Crystal City, Missouri, to Evelyn Cecilia Lalumondier and Thomas Albert McCoy.

Survivors include her children, Vicki Cochran; Kathi Cordray and husband, Richard; and Richard D. Hughes and wife, Cecile; grandchildren, Coy Cordray, Cassie Cordray, Kelli Newton, Kimberly Hughes, Jaime Abshire, Racheal Hughes, and Shane Hughes; great-grandchildren, Mallori Mareno, Alexis Nieto, Kaitlyn Abshire, Ella White, and Evey Cordray; sisters, Kathleen Felder and her husband, Aubrey and Eileen Anderson and her husband, Fred; and brother, William “Bill” McCoy and his wife, Sharon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon C. Stewart, Jr.; and parents.

The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice of Beaumont for their loving care and compassion that was given to Mrs. Stewart.

A gathering of Mrs. Stewart’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. ​
