M. Jay Brown

M. Jay Brown, 50, of Hillsboro, died Friday, September 22, 2023.  He was born on March 13, 1973, in Silsbee, to Claudette Brown and Melvin James Brown.

Survivors include his mother, Claudette Brown of Evadale; sister, Chris Brewer-Davis of Evadale; children, JW, Olivia, Ayden, Nathan, Addyson, Matthew, Timothy, Luke, and Levi Brown; nieces and nephews, Chad Brewer and his wife, Amy, and their children, Warren, Clint, and Wyatt; and Amy Garner and her husband, Jonathan, and their daughter, Bayleigh, all of Evadale; and numerous other family members.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Missy Burch.

A gathering of Jay’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Calvary Apostolic Church, 363 FM 105, Evadale, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at Morse Cemetery, Buna.
