Michael Joseph Dequeant

Michael Joseph Dequeant, 73 , of Beaumont, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born on January 29, 1950, in Beaumont, to Verna Mae Manuel Scott and Leonard Dequeant.

Michael loved to fish and hunt, He also enjoyed playing his vinyl records as he tinkered with items in his shop.

Survivors include his sons, Charles Allen Dequeant and his wife, Sonia, of Menifee, California, and Michael J. Dequeant of Beaumont; mother of his children, Jo Ann Blanchette Dequeant; sisters, Loretta Brown; Litha Walker and her husband, Michael; and Betty Boyette and her husband, Earl; and stepchildren, Justin Young; Dustin Tucker; Angela Mitchell; and Christina Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Dequeant; mother and stepfather, Verna and Jack Scott; wife, Brenda Dequeant; brother, Charlie Dequeant; and sister, Barbara Israel.

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Dequeant were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
