Ray B McCreery

Ray B. McCreery, 84, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  He was born on May 11, 1939, in Doddridge, Arkansas, to Inez Killian McCreery and Audry Doyle McCreery.

Survivors include his daughters, Judi Thompson and her husband, Marty, of Crystal Beach; Cyndi Pickard and her husband, Jerry, Sr., of Rosevine; and Anita Rice and her husband, Jeff, Sr., of Lumberton; grandchildren, Stephanie Ceja and her husband, Erick, of Nederland; Audrey Craig and her husband, Robert, of Wildwood; Hollie Perez and her husband, Jason, of Hemphill; Jerry Pickard, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, of Rosevine; Jeffrey Rice, Jr. and his wife, Kristen, of Groves; Matthew Rice and his wife, Rhiana, of Port Neches; and Erica Clark and her husband, Allen, of Lumberton; eighteen great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Sheryl Nesloney and her husband, Rick, of Beaumont and Belinda Kirkland and her husband, David, of Shepherd; and sister, Rosalie Jarosz of Keystone Heights, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children, Cassie Jo McCreery; second wife, Letha Juanita McCreery; granddaughter, Jennifer Hughes; and siblings, Robert McCreery, Milton McCreery, Donald McCreery, Edward McCreery, and Elizabeth Moyer.

A gathering of Ray’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Lufkin.
